Mavic For Sale? Rumours start up… again.

With the start of Eurobike in southern Germany, there are (unconfirmed) whispers that Mavic is for sale.

While not confirmed, it is believed that the Finnish parent company, Amer Sportsis, exploring options including a trade buyout or a financial investor.

Amer Sports which owns sporting brands Wilson, Suunto and Mavic announced recently that Mavic’s sales had slumped by 15%. Bike Europe magazine highlights an unnamed Taiwanese company as a potential buyer.

New 2010 Products for Mavic include the yellow Zxellium Road Cycling shoes and Cosmic Carbone Ultimate Wheelset – both debuting at this years Tour de France. Supply and availability would be unaffected.
