Show was ok, thought there would have been more stalls with sales on though. Went to the Bupa Around the Bay festival and there were heaps more bikes and accessories on sale (Show Price/ bargains) than at Aus bike. Would have thought Aus bike would be a great place for bike shops and exhibitors to get their products out at great prices. Also. No Giant, Avanti, Scott and many others. People these days go looking for new products but also bargains and i feel Aus bike didn't quite fill that gap. Having said that, i will still be back next year.

It was a good show and there was a lot of quality merchandise displayed. I don't understand though why the exhibitors/organisers don't run clinics during the show. There is potential for everything from basic repairs, to how to choose your bike, helmet, shoes to introducing people to cleated shoes and other "advanced" gear.
May I also offer one comment meant constructively; at a number of the stands I was greated by enthusaistic, interested knowledgable staff. At others, including some of the "majors", I was left standing until I gave up and moved on whilst staff chatted to friends or ate lunch. Those basic selling mistakes don't leave a potential buyer feeling any new love for a brand.

Great write up, great show. We experienced it as a fantastic show, well organised, and good visitor numbers on sat and sun. Lots of interesting products presented and worthwhile attending both as exhibitor and visitor. Great turnout of exhibitors with a large spectrum of the cycling industry present for a change! If the show can build on this years success it will become better still next year ;-)

Hello Chris, it was fantastic to finally put a face to a name and meet you at Ausbike. Nice review about the show, I think it is now in its perfect location and it can attract heaps more people, particularly if the industry shows some stronger support. Simon and his team did an amazing job, in particular Yvonne, Lisa and Bob were really good. As for Lombardo Bikes, we displayed at Ausbike for the very first time and I'll let the other judge about our performance... we had heaps of fun and an overwhelming great support from all sorts of bike riders! Bis bald!

Nice write up and a great show (from an exhibitor's point of view).

Good to see the electric Yubas in the photo, would have been better to hear electric bikes mentioned in the coverage as they were one of the most test ridden products at the show and for much of the public, one of the only new things they hadn't seen before discovered at the show!
