I have feedback from Ferei: “The weight of the BL200 unit itself is 210 grams. The warranty is a 2 week replacement period and an 18 month repair period applies thereafter. After 18 months, free labour on repair is offered with a minor charge for parts. Spare batteries are available at a cost of $79.00.”

By the way, it wasn’t mentioned in the article, but the vertical white reflector in the beam shot taken on the tarred road was measured at 280 metres distant.

Excellent questions. Thanks for asking.

System weight is 500g. Warranty is 3 years for light head, 12 months for battery. Fine print can be found here: http://www.ferei.com.au/warranty/

Regarding extra batteries, I don’t see them as an option that’s available on the Ferei site at this time. I agree that an additional battery (or two) would be a smart purchase if you were planning on racing 24 hour events.
