Hello troopers,,Anyone coming over for a nice 160 km fun ride ?,,Over 13,000 entered in 08,Was my first time and not prepared,,done a 4hr 50 ,,was happy with that,Now training for it this year ,,Well worth the trip across the ditch

It';s a great event & tons of fun. I did the first 80km's as part of a team back when we first started cycling. Certainly wouldn't do it in the wet . The winds were bad enough when we participated!!!

I would however love to do the Colville Connection!

Thanks, unfortunately I can't get there for the ride itself, so hope to ride the route itself later in the year. My sister lives in Thames which helps

I've already booked my flight and accommodation. If you want to stay in Taupo, book accommodation soon - there was little available when I booked a few weeks ago.

Never done it before but sounds like a fantastic event
