Hey Smeg. I'll get back to you re the gradient. I thought they were around 7-8. I had the stats somewhere. Myself & my mates know the park very well.
If you want a real challenge ride through the Park to Otford & turn right at the pie shop & make your way through to the Otford Wall which takes you to the back of Helensburgh. I think & don't quote me until I get the stats the gradient for the 1st half kay is 12%. It's a really mother of a climb. The whole wall goes for around 3k. If you thought you had lung or heart problems then you will by the top of the climb haha.

Waterfall - average is about 5%. The first 2kms are about 8%, then it's a false flat of about 3% which brings the average down, then the last km is very steep, as high as 12-13%.

Audley - the first corner is very steep, in excess of 10%, then it settles down to about 8% the rest of the way up.

I normally ride going from Audley to otford, I did an elevation profile using google maps and a website which I forget. This starts at the beginning of Farnell ave where it comes off the Princes hwy and finishes at the otford exit. The super steep hill at about the 4km mark is coming up from audley weir, gradient is about 10-11% for about 1.5km

You are pushing 10% on many of those hills. The last few hundred metres coming up to Waterfall hits 12%. Otherwise Waterfall -> Audley direction is somewhat easier than the direction you did it.

:)
The Audley climb felt about 15% on Saturday.
You multiply the 10% gradient by your age divided by the temperature on the day.
cheers.
