Racing rules regarding bikes?

Postby MattS77 » Sat Oct 24, 2009 10:11 pm

Hi guys, I was just wondering if there are any rules in regards to what wheels can be used in races? Reading other forums (US ones), there seems to be rules regarding UCI regulations on wheels and to be able to race yours, they need to have passed UCI testings. Are these rules adopted by Australian races and if so, at what level?

There certainly are. All club racing and above have to adhere to CA rules, which is a subset of UCI rules. The higher you go, the more tightly policed. If you do a quick search, there was a discussion on the most recent update on this rule.
