Must've been awesome in there. Glad to see you had a bit of success with a bit of a challenge to make you come back too. Keep at it, don't forget, there are the master's games - you might still get to represent Oz.

I didn't get beaten by anyone younger than me last night, but there were blokes in the other races who would of shown me how its done.

The results are up

I'm under clemont and clement

That confirms that I came 5th in the handicap race, I must of unlapped myself rather than other taken.

Still pretty pleased with 3rd in Division 4, it was my first race with lots of riders.

There was an accident on the night involving around 5 riders, one of which I new "Paul". At the time it was thought that no one had any significant injuries, but not true, "Paul" has fractured his pelvis and will be on crutches for 6 weeks

After the fall he was commenting that the forks on his track bike were damaged, that was before he was aware of his own damage.

His wife is the national womans track champ, she'll probably be at the track on Monday night, if she is there I'll send our regards.

Nasty! I was at a BBQ at the club one day and I had a club member telling me to get into track riding and at the same time pointing out on the track where he crashed and ruptured a disc in his back. NOT the way to get someone on the track!

Well done on the result. Good to here someone else's race results.

That's a bugger about Paul (get well soon) - I think he'll be kicking himself whe he sees the video as he rode straight down into the crash after intially looking like he was going to avoid it.

I had a reasonably good night. Took it easy during the warm up scratch race. Managed to take 3rd place comfortably in the Win-n-out but am kicking myself for not sprinting for second. In the mystery lapper was going well but the kids I was off the front with slowed a lot & I was swamped by the field

Apparently its the only accident that has happened all season.

From what I could see on the video, a rider managed to get himself off the track on the inside and then put himself back on the track, which he had no choice but to do. When he went back on he banged handlebars with the other rider and the both went down.

If Donna turns up tonight I'll see what the situation is

There's been a few falls in the first couple of weeks, but the only thing broken was people's pride.

Spoke to Donna last night and Paul's got a broken pelvis. He will be on crutches for 6 - 12 weeks TBC. Donna was joking that she gets a new bike now, apparently they have a deal that when Paul gets hurt Donna gets a new bike. Under the joke she looked quite sad and did less training than normal.

I saw Paul tonight and things are a little better than it was thought previously.

The break is a good break and he will be on crutches for only 2 - 3 weeks. After that he can do some gentle riding on a stationary bike.
