TTT is going belly up, I've lost one rider, who has to had to retire from competition due to respiratory problems and another is nursing an injury..

On the up side, I'm back to commuting on my fixie http://app.strava.com/rides/6613957

Your too young for my team, I'm targeting the older category

The riders need to be born before the invention of the horseless carriage

BTW, need my helmet back in May

yep, thought you may have been targeting the 150s.

re the helmet - no probs, been sick lately but am mobile again and can get the helmet over to you in the coming days (or at worst within the week).

No panic, when its convenient

Perhaps you should organise a sub 150 team for this year

Yup. You boned someone?

T-boned a car about 9pm on Monday night. Was doing about 40kph on my fixie on a quiet back street, when it turned right in front of me to go into a car park. Left elbow, left shoulder and head it the car and I bounced backwards into the road. Somehow I've got away if just a broken rib. The damage in January was on my right hand side.

All my spin classes are covered upto Saturday, I'm catching train/bus to work and I'm going to drop the 162k route at B2B, switching to the 70k route, which I will ride with a beginner rider.

Who's dropped out of the TTT, Mike? Are you and Mark still in?

I'm gradually getting worked up for it and will be starting a proper 3 month training sched in a week or two.

Cheers

Chris

PS - Bummer about the crash - have you got a season ticket for the ambos or do you just rely on frequent patient points?

Mark is still in, he is having Achilles issue, but will be fine. If you make it to the team we will be back in a potential podium position

I thought of you on my ride yesterday Mike.... I rarely ride in the city, even with the millions of k's of cycle paths... but it was pouring with rain and I was riding pretty hard.
But then I thought about you and slowed down a bit... plus it was one of those times that you had a feeling it could all go wrong in a flash.
Arrived in one piece.

I'm struggling to make a decision. My plan was to make Ken Dinnerval my return race. However Sydney Road Titles are on the day before, entries close tomorrow night.

Sydney Road Titles
Pros;
1. In Sydney, don't need to pay for a weekend away
2. Aged based grading, puts me in a strong position
3. Reasonable sized bunch

Cons;
1. Aged based grading, I'll put myself under pressure to perform, can't just hide in the bunch and mark one off.
2. Day before Ken Dinnerval

Which one would you rather have on your CV Mike? :|

It's not about putting yourself under pressure, it's about riding smart! :wink:

I'm already entered in Ken Dinnerval, this year entries lasted 12 minutes

I'm leaning towards entering Sydney Road Titles and making my mind up on the day if I front

Geoff offered me a lift this morning, does it make it easier for you if I take Geoff up on his offer?

Spoke to the mechanic, he's not confident on the car being done by sat. I've still got a car to head down, it's not a classic nor is it roomy but it's a lot quieter :lol: You may not get to stretch the legs out as much as Geoff's but if you are happy with that then my offer still stands. I'll know if i'll get the classic back for the trip on Friday.
