Ergonova rocks. They're popular for a reason. They splay out at the drops so be careful when you choose what size you get.
My 42cm bars are actually 40cm around the hoods.

Does that include pedals and bottle cages, or not. I am trying to finish off a build, and I am looking to reduce weight at minimal cost. A logical start is to compare to similar budget bikes that weigh what I would like it to be.

And yes Pawnii still working on my Canyon, should be about 6.5kg when I finally finish and then back to the FM066SL (I keep cannibalising parts from one build to the other)

This bike is completely over the top for little old me, but I love it anyway. If you're wondering about the long steerer and why I didn't buy a Roubaix, I'd have been happy to buy a Roubaix, but this is the one that came up lightly used for a great price, so this is the one I bought.

58cm. The SLSI cranks and tubular wheels help the weight, plus the Evo frame coming in at about 700 grams of course.

My mate has the same frame with Sram Red and Assault wheels in 56cm. Without pedals and bottles it came in just over 6.1kg

Noice! Especially so as it's a 58cm. Mate of mine has a tiny little one in the liquigas colours. Very nice bike and weighs NOTHING.

Mine, with some new bidon cages. In need of cleaning too - which I did do shortly after taking that photo. It is under 8kg without all the extras. And to the people who reckon we don't have bells on our bikes, that photo is your proof that we do.

I wasn't keen on the saddlebag I saw hanging off a luvverly red Fe 'Nago on Harbour Esplanade path today. Not the bag as such, just the way it was swaying side to side under the saddle instead of being snugged up close to the rails. Distracted me from ogling the shiny lugwork.

i always wonder what ppl store in their saddle bags.
I usually only have a tube, CO2 pump and a emergency $50 note. When i'm in the mountains I carry an extra tube. My saddle bag is so small it wouldn't hold anything else anyway.
Some of my mates refuse to use one and carry everything in their jersey pockets. Looks very pro but not always practical.

Maybe it's 'cos I'm an MTBer who has a roadie...
The rule is always "Don't Walk Out", especially if you're in a signal deficient area. My bags always have tools, patchkits and levers in them. I've had to do a trailside conversion to singlespeed a couple of times, sticks can be excellent derailleur hunters at times.

I know, it's enormous. Two tubes, a CO2 pump and a spare canister and tyre levers. Unfortunately people around here love to smash glass bottles - so punctures are inevitable.

I weighed mine (stood on scales, then held the bike) and took a better photo, sans saddle bag, lights, bell and the fly that was previously resting on the saddle. 7.4kg with the 105 group set and 54cm frame, so not a fairly big one. I'm not sure I could get it down under 7.0kg. I'm thinking about doing a Di2 upgrade - I can get that at a good price. Won't necessarily make it lighter, but it appeals to the gadget freak in me.
