No name Chinese carbon in 58cm
7.84kg with Dura Ace to Stans rims
7.64kg with Fulcrum 1's
Guessing it will be down around 7.3kg with Mad Fiber's once I get them

Are those weights arse about? Aren't Fulcrum 1s about 1500 g. I would have expected a DA+Stans set to be a bit lighter, maybe 1300 g.

I have an FM028 too, 52 cm. Its a very nice ride IMO. Mine's a bit over 7.1 kg with Record and Fulcrum 3s (excluding the usual extraneous stuff but including pedals).

Gatorskins on the Stans wheels vs Ultremo's on the F1's
Stans wheels are definitely heavier and they are also 32hole front and rear.

Agree on the FM028.
I really like it.
I also have a Moots and riding them back to back I would say the FM028 is a bit more direct in its steering.I also think that the FM028 descends a little better (but there is not much in it).

...With a lime green rear calliper :?

Sweet looking scoot nonetheless. 8)

Y'know, cutting about 40mm outta that last bit of cable housing will improve rear brake response and modulation quite a bit...

Fat weenie....... C50 size 52s frame..... Was never a super light frame I suspect, not even 10 years ago........

Whittled down now to 7.28 kg (as photographed here) from orginal build weight of 7.40kg with lighter inner tubes, some cable trimming, lighter alloy cages, some Ti bolt swap ins and lighter carbon spacers above the stem/under the cap........

Makes me appreciate the 2010 TCR frame I rode before this. The TCR in a size M 55.5 TT frame came in at 1040 grams but was a buzz box for my bum on anything other good hotmix bitumen....

Hmmm, I like very much. 8)

Mind, you weight wise you've cheated - no bar tape. :P Is the handlebar Ti and do you ride 'bare bars'?

Cross-post from the general bike photo thread:

Not a weight weenie at around 8.5kg with the training wheels (would be a little less with those pictured but I haven't weighed it) but for the price I'm not complaining!

Just the bike (no garmin etc) with the training wheels (Mavic aksium) but with everything else ready to roll probably around $1600 Frame including fork and seatpost was about $550, groupo was about $470, wheels about $200. The cosmic carbone SL's were about $940 from the UK.

Nah paint just adds weight ;)

Don't really have anything I want to paint on it, don't want to disguise it as a brand-name bike so it would just be extra money and effort, I like the plain clear-coat carbon anwyay. The frame sellers will however paint the frame in whatever way you want for a nominal price though.
