Looks pretty good!

I stuck some Deda perforated bar tape on my bike (got the stuff dirt cheap from Wiggle). I was surprised to save some weight with that too. It's nicer feeling tape than the previous Fi'zi:k leather look stuff I had and considerably easier to apply.

Love that BMC flex, but IMO, put the proper fork back on, the RM01 fork looks out of place.

Very fine! :D I saw a frame for one of these going recently. I had a hint of selling the Trek for the frame and then building one up over time. 8)

Thanks mate. I love the ride, it never ceases to amaze me how I can get off that bike and not feel banged up.

The frame isn't ridiculously light relative to the feather like carbon frames on offer now. I've heard around 900 grams? There are 700 gram carbon fiber frames. So the very light wheelset, carbon cranks, etc. are playing there part to get the weight that low.

the frame wasn't so much my concern, more the feather light components. although i'm sure they wont, it looks like if you stood up to give it hammer and tong the chainrings would become expensive origami.

Yep, it's all in the frame and wheelset, frame is 787 grams and the wheelset with cassette, tubulars, tape and skewers is 1.49kg

Actually the stiffest part of the bike is the crankset, the rear wheel has some flex as the spokes are un-tensioned and the center flange doesn't stiffen the wheel up straight away.

Blimey! 4.94kg!! I want to know what it is like to ride a bike that light. With the slightest effort the thing must explode away.

Those wheels alone are amazing. 8)
