Bunch Biker or Bikee?

Just a few observations.
After several years of riding it has become apparent that the possession of a road bicycle of any brand does not make one a legitimate road cyclist any more than owning a Harley makes one a Hells Angel (I do know this despite my powered cycle being a Honda) and that being accepted as a cyclist by the bunch is no more assured by the possession of said racing bicycle regardless of how many turns one has taken on the front and into the wind. Also that the hot cup of coffee at the end of the ride is not the reason for the ride although coffee does taste especially nice when consumed in suitable company. This noble but masochistic sporting activity does indeed appeal to my nature even if there are confusing unwritten rules where personal space applies more to exotic sporting equipment than to the riders themselves, confusion aside the love of aching muscles and exhaustion has me wishing that the next time the 7am bunch rides out for Black Rock I hope it is pissing down rain, I will be there. Never say never and never give up.
