Sport (Time Trial Events) Membership

Hey can anyone explain this to me. I wanted a racing membership but think I will instead go for this TT membership for the next six months. Does this let me enter into TT and is the price for the year or quarterly? Any help would be great from someone who has this membership

You pay for a yearly licence.

It will enable you to enter most TT's - but you will need a full racing licence if you want to race in the national TT championships.

oh and this is imprtant to note - you will only be a participant, not awarded prizes or trophys:

It allows for participation in events that are timed whereby finishers may be placed in order of finishing time; however, they are not awarded prizes or recognised on the basis of those placings

recorpsjames - the TT license is almost completely useless.

Most clubs only run a few TTs a year (and sometimes as part of their club championship) because a TT is much harder to organise than a road race or a crit.

For this reason, your "cheap" TT license is effectively less value for money than a masters license. The masters license is seen as kinda expensive, but if you're on the back of a $2000+ carbon bike it's a bit hard to complain about the $200 license.

Ask local clubs, but some are happy to let you try if you get a 3 race temporary membership. If you are enjoying yourself, get your full membership in September and you'll get 15 months instead of 12.
