Help - will my bike insurance cover bike on roofrack damage?

Hi,

I just drove my car into a garage with my very expensive Colnago on the roof. I have elite cover with Swann Insurance, and I am a little confused as to whether it will be covered, as I was to blame for the accident. Just wondering if anyone has direct experience doing this and whether it was covered.

Yes, I know! Unfortunatley can't talk to them until Monday and so I thought I'd chance it that someone has done this with the same policy and might have experience.

a mate did a similar thing with his bike, car and garage door.

his car insurance covered it.

Keen to hear, but usually the roof racks are covered, but seldom what's on them.

Might have some joy with Home & Contents if it happened at home.. Maybe you were mistaken and accidentally reversed over it in the garage
