I was browsing for some Bianchis and this pop up, did a thorough search on the net but nothing much came out. never seen such frame before!

The white carbon looks stunning but its a good ol' <2005 bike.

Do the yesteryears carbon frame differ much from current models?

Much different to the Campy centaur in that period that 2011s?

That's a LOT of coin for a bike that age.
No way I'd buy second hand carbon without a chance to go over it with a fine tooth comb.

Any procedure checking bike integrity of such carbon bikes?

I'm no expert but after the standard visual inspection for scratches, scrapes, dings and touched up paint, I've heard that tapping the tubes with a fingernail and listening for bum notes may help'

Any people better qualified want to chime in?

EDIT Might be worthwhile doing a search in General and The Shed along the lines of "second hand/used carbon".

for the sake of $100, take it to your local carbon repairer (there seems to be one in every state nowadays) and get the frame X-Ray'd.. nothing else will give you 100% assurance the frame is in excellent condition.

And as per previous comments, $3k is a lot for a 5yr old middle of the range Bianchi

Very happy with mine and I got it from Evans Cycles. Here's a current example in your price range...

Its actually come down in price since then, I think we paid $2200. Free postage, took a week to receive after ordering. They forgot to charge us GST on the way in, saving a few more bucks... 8)
