Race UniformsHi All, I am just wondering about what clothing we can use during races in NSW.
My club has a uniform that a lot of people wear, but the cycling shops in town also have kits that they wear. Can i just buy something online and wear it for races, or does it have to be registered with Cycling NSW ?
Re: Race UniformsFrom CNSW
I've got stuff on ebay
Re: Race UniformsSo im assuming it has to be registered and its fine to wear ?
Is there a list of registered jerseys ? does it lie with cycling australia or UCI ?
Race UniformsIt's wearable if you belong to that club or team, not otherwise. If you don't have a club kit, then wear plain colour.

Re: Race Uniforms
hadn't heard that one before! check out the dude beside me. guns are so big he cuts the sleeves off! And what about Robbie style? ![]()
Race UniformsUCI will fine protour riders who want to work on their tan.
Club kit is required for opens... Don't think it is so strict for club races. If you want to look like a tri boy... Then do a triathlon

Re: Race UniformsThanks Mike, that shows all of the jerseys we are allowed to wear. It has my club jersey and also my lbs jersey in there.
Cheers.

That rule was brought in quite a few years ago. I know when it came in we had to enforce it at our local cycling club where I was one of the club commissaries. Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

But did you drop him? Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Re: Race UniformsRobbie McEwen was turned away from a Gold Coast club (he's a club member, too!) race quite a few years ago when he turned up in a sleeveless jersey...
I know my club (Balmoral) also rigorously enforces the rule. As for which jersey - at club level, its pretty much a free-for-all when it comes to colours. But at Opens, its yoru club jersey or a 'plain coloured' jersy. Have seen a few people at Opens have to wear their jersey inside-out after turning up in World Tour jerseys... Re: Race UniformsI think that if you are a member of a club and are racing in inter club or open events then it is a sign of respect to the club you are supporting to wear their kit.
I bought my jersey a couple of weeks ago with inter club in mind and wore it yesterday for a normal club meet. Feels good.. How do you like them ******* apples???
Race UniformsAgree, it is respectable to wear club uniform, a matter of pride.
I can think of 2 clubs where the club jersey is seriously ugly... They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder I've got stuff on ebay

Get your club kit, and wear it with pride Our Website is: http://www.pro-liteoz.com Find us on Facebook by searching for "Pro-Lite Australia"
Re: Race UniformsIMO, whatever you wear, do NOT wear a kit for a team that you are not a member of.
Our team kit is registered and also has the logo for our club on it. This is the kit that I wear 100% of the time when racing club or open events. Quality, not quantity.
Re: Race UniformsSleeveless jerseys are under no circumstances to be employed, see Rule #7

Re: Race Uniforms
You need to be a member of the club or of the team to wear the jersey. If your LBS jersey is a registered Sponsors jersey, you need to be included in the list of riders sponsored by your LBS, or whoever's jersey it is. Penalties range from refused start, to fines or suspensions (unlikely, but possible). Kev.
Re: Race UniformsSo for the BNA jerseys / kit I have to look into making them legal... Will be worth it as I want to race in BNA
