Today I finished my 3rd road race with the Illawarra Cycling Club, what a buzz.
45km handicap race, fast guys chasing you down and then jumping on the back, trying to recover and hold on. I finished in the middle of the bunch sprint for the line so that is pleasing.
Absolutely shattered now, having a beer......

Well done. I've done a few crits with Sutherland but would like to do a road race pretty soon.

How often do Illawarra have the handicap races?

Not 100% sure, I would have to look at the calendar. But the last two have been handicaps, next weekend (25th) is scratch.
