Finally got rid of the horrible giant spacer cannondale run and cut the steerer... Dropped my bars 1.5cm.
Will try it out in anger today.
I won't be posting any pics from yesterday's race... Way to embarrassing getting dropped!
Btw Cerb, just noticed we are running the same bikes!... And we are the same hieght!... Definitely not the sane weight though!!!... What size frame do you run?. I am on a 63 but would probably go 61/60 next time. But one of the guys I was with at the Tour de Maroc was 193cm and he preferred a 58!

Supersix 105? Yours looks much more fancy because of those deep wheels... jealous!toolonglegs wrote: Btw Cerb, just noticed we are running the same bikes!... And we are the same hieght!... I'm on a 60 and it seems to be a good fit. Though, I think my torso/leg length ratio is less than ideal cause If I bend by arms too much on the drops, my knees hit me in the chest! 58 would surely be too small and a larger frame would only stretch me out closer to my knees...
I'm 92kg and find the frame quite flexy when putting out anything north of 700W - do you find the same thing? Meant to be a stiff bike, but I think the larger frames lose some of the stiffness due to the longer sections of tubing... Very comfortable for long rides though!

I always figure that it's just extra energy for the race and extra weight to stamp out the power on those pedals!dale79 wrote:im 194 and ride a 58.5 top tube..

Supersix with many old bits fitted ... warranty job for me. I don't find it too flexy, the wheels are very stiff and I run alloy stem, bars and seat posts as well. I had the System 6 before this ( still have it ) and it is certainly a lot stiffer... the alloy rear triangle didn't budge too much!.cerb wrote:Supersix 105? BTW... wheels cost me €510, put together by a local guy, nothing flash but they ride beautifully.

mavics... don' love the yellow so much , but mid way through the TDF my 5 year old custom fit shimano's died ... finding 46 2/3 size shoes in a hurry means you take what you can find, luckily shoes in those sizes are always discounted because I could of bought a pair of bonts for the RRP!jules21 wrote:are you wearing Bonts?
