Choosing the right tyres

All, I recently got a used Giro 2 2011.

As you can see from the pictures, the tyres are a little worn.
Are there a smart red looking cheap but good performance tyres that I could replace with.

I usual do training rides for fitness not racing nor commuting to work.

Current tubes are fine. If you order the rubinos its worth chucking in a few tubes as they're cheaper online and it's handy having a few spares.

2 punctures in the first year and a half (~7000Km) and thinking that it was the best tyre in the world.
Another 2 punctures in the last month and thinking it's not as special as I once thought it out to be.

Having said that, my tyres are pretty worn (~10,000Km) so it may be time to replace the tyres.
I will probably go Rubino Pros again so yes +1 Rubinos, although I've heard good things about Gatorskins as well.

My rubeno pro III arrived today, seems like a task to replace.
I ended up puncturing 2 tubes, now need to buy new ones.
Does the type of tube really make any difference, should I just buy cheap ones from k-mart.

The tires feel soft even after inflating them.The pump seems to deflate after a certain time, does it mean the tubes are faulty or the tires just to re-silent.

The pressure indicator is weird, the pointer is all over the place, how does one calculate the psi

It sounds like you haven't undone the presta valve or have not pushed the pump onto the valve far enough.

You can consider Vredestein Tricomp Tyres too. It's still my favourite in the last 2-3 years.

Michelin Kyrlion and Pro Race 4 Endurance come in red.

They'll wear faster than the Rubinos but will give you a better ride.
