I could handle that!

It twas a rather nice ride... holds 8 bikes, 8 people comfortably with multiple TV screens etc, race radio all installed and ready to go ... luggage would be a squeeze with 8 though unless traveling light. 100 euros a day to rent... had to take it back to Belgium though which was the only drawback!.

Other "news" :mrgreen: ... rebuilt the Ribble pig today, 9 speed winter goodness! ... need to rob some bits off the race roadie to build up the CX bike. It "may" get a new group set next year!. Temp is dropping, winter is not far away, time to order those battery powered heated gloves and socks!. http://warmthru.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I still can't believe you haven't broken that yet. It must be the worlds strongest aluminum frame. How old is it again? And as a matter of interest, what does it weigh built up and is it actually nice to ride?

Must be 4 years now... Maybe 5. Only ride it in winter and didn't really use it much last winter as I trained on the CX bike. Thinking of leaving it in NZ at Xmas, as I will probably spend most of this winter on the CX bike again.
Weight... Not sure, the cannondale is 8 so I suppose about 9kgs.
It has lasted well though :-)
PS... Yeah it is pretty nice to ride... Whole bike minus the wheels cost about 300 euros!... Old parts lying around!

It surprising how much you love riding the bikes you just cobble together from spare parts isn't?

All my bikes are cobbled together... Last complete new bike I brought ( for me ) was in 2007 I think... They do the job ;-)

And this is where I get half my cobbling bits  ... we are just a little club / team ( about 30 members ) , but we organize this bike sale each year, the hall doesn't cost us, people bring along their bikes and bits and set a price. We then sell it for them and take 10%. Good little earner for the club. Nothing really retrotastic to pick up though this year, a brand new Battaglin 1990's but it was a bit too much for something not my size. I only grabbed a nice set of retro mavic wheels, a set of Fulcrum racing 3's and a set of Ultegra wheels for the home TT trainer.

Pulled the pin on racing today... knee wasn't great and I was trashed, oh well at least the bike is ready for next weekend!. Loads of rain this week coming... going to be a super tough race next Monday as it is on the side of a very steep hill!. Last year I did really well there and they missed my number for one lap :-( .
From yesterday... before the chain drop  ( me in the back ground )

Please don't even think of sandbagging into B grade in Aust Waratahs. Look how you are crushing the will of the pink rider.

Although... he does seem fixated on your butt.

The only reason I want to go B grade is that is where I was when I left... And I wasn't winning. Plus I am nearly 6 years older now!.

That must be near the start of the race... around the same area 45 or so minutes later I would have been looking very different... taking imaginary turns etc

Depends on what you want from the race. B grade typically ride around and then sprint for the win, where A grade could be almost anything but in A there is a lot less chance of going for the podium

In the cyclecross photos, is that your club uniform? Looks OK
If the R-1 rule is broken, what happens to N+1?

Mike, just want to have bit of fun... Don't care about podium. If I feel alright I will jump in A so I can ride with my mates.
Not feeling amazing riding wise this year... Just buy getting the k's in.
I am wearing a skin suit... A balmy 7 degrees ;-) ... It's a couple of years old, new club kit is similar, just changes with different sponsors each year.
I knew as soon as I arrived that the one thing I had forgotten was the socks!

Done it... pulled the pin on heated gloves and socks ... pretty expensive at Au $550  ... but with the amount I have to spend each year on new gloves, bootie covers, disposible heat pads etc hopefully it will work out ok.
Put it this way... when your fingers and toes are solid you would pay anything for some warmth!.
