Does anyone know if the bowties and Bowtie fixing bolts on the Speedplay Ti pedals are made of Titanium or is it just the spindles?

It's just the spindle.
Bow ties are steel on the Zero but Ti on the Nano. The Nano bow ties do fit on the Zero if u can find them.
I tried some aluminium bow ties a while back but they lasted about after 1000 they were so trashed they became dangerous.
I've got Ti bolts from eBay. They were too long so I had to grind them down about 3mm.
They've been perfect for over 4yrs now

Ive got 3 sets of aluminium left. So far mine have lasted over 1500ks, wear yes but with no sign of giving up. I have no problem with them staying engaged.
Thanks for the info Pawni Ill just get a set of cromo and change the spindles etc over.
im waiting for my KMC to arrive then I'll let you know the weight difference.
Perhaps we should start a weight weenie sub board

Reason I asked is i had to buy a second set for the SLR01.
