Re: Heffron Race Times Changed
Hey Beanzy, Given that RBCC have a club championship race on Saturday morning (11 Oct) at ECR, will there be Heffron racing in the afternoon? RBCC Website is not helpful.........
Re: Heffron Race Times Changed
One day,
I'm looking to have a crack this Saturday.
Anything unusual this week (from a normal Sat arvo at Heffron that is)? 5pm start, right?
Which grade would you enter at this stage? Bianchi, Ridley, Montague, GT, Garmin and All things Apple
Probably just have a roll in D grade, although I suspect there ain't one with low numbers, so C is likely. I have no idea how I'll fare. Doesn't matter really. Just a bit of fun.
I heard from one of our club members who went last week and it was a combined C/D. The pace was high at 37km/h and it was tough. Not sure if there'll be enough numbers to have split C and D this week. Ummm... Time for a bit of racing fun before the license expires at the end of this year.

Alex, I just enquired with RBCC about Sat racing and they replied today with
I won't be racing this weekend, but hope to give it a go some time soon.
5pm start correct.
For the past few weeks we have only been getting a handful of D graders (< 5) so C and D have been combined. Cgrade were at or slower than D grade before the combination. Althogh i was not there last weekend reports indicate C grade were quicker than they have been the last few weeks. Can't tell who turns up on the day. If the numbers turn up C and D will be seperated. Beanzy

Thanks.
Having ridden all grades at Heffron over the years, avg speed is not always a good indicator of how hard a race is. Sometimes a higher avg speed indicates a more even paced race which can often be easier than a slower but more attacking style of race.
