Racing License

Hi All,

I want to get into a few road races.
Currently i have a Mountain Bike racing license (white card which expires on 2 Jan 09)
My question is what license do i need to get to start road racing?
Is there an addition to my current MTB license to cut down on cost?
Is there a license that can be used for all events?

I have no interest in Track/velodrome racing.
I want to continue to race MTB and Road (crits etc)

It now been Octobre you can get a full license for next year which will cover you from now.Covers you for all road track riding.I don't think there is a discount for your MTBA license...but I recal doing it the other way a few years back and got a discount.

Don, I don't remember when your MTBA licence expires but I think you've got more than 3 months left in which case you can get a discount from CA.

Complete the form, and fax it to CA, with a copy of your MTBA licence, You can pay them by credit card or direct deposit.

If you don't have more than 3 months left you're better off joining a road club first then renewing your MTB (it works out cheeper)

So you suggest i join a road club (ie Panthers) then renew my mtb license when due?
Would i still renew my mtba license through you (manly warringah)?

Hey Don, spoke to the pres of Panthers, he says you can pay for your licence on Mon. before racing and it will exp. end 09, ie. 3 months free Dont know about discount for MTB though
