That drop hasn't happened all that quickly. I'm aiming to be 30.0 by 1/1/08 - I just have to be disciplined.

Depends on what kind of fat.

So that explains why I lost a kilo in a week, not just inaccurate measurement.
I cut back from my usual intake of 3,000 - 4,000 per day to around 2,500 (estimated not counted). My body hurts, its not recovering quickly enough.
Brown fat, or white fat. I know nothing on this topic, will read the links. Thanks sogood.

Yes way. 3,500 cal was for one pound.
It'll be right if you're consuming 550 cal less and using 550 cal more in exercise.

I'm not actually counting, just estimating the reduction, so its something, but no way am I 1,100 deficent per day, in my dreams.
