Today I did my 15km ride. Got to the 6km stop with an average 22km/h, 12km mark at average 20.5, finish at 19.5. I only try to do fast for the first 6km, so I'm happy. Haven't beat 20km/h for 6ks before.

Crossed 1000km on the odo of the cycle comp last week. In reality I probably did 200 or 300km before that but it still felt good.

Awesome! Nice to reach milestones along the way. Nice to keep track of the little things as they add up to bigger ones. Well done!

Onya mate. :D

Keeping records can feel a bit nerdish at the the time, but the payoff comes when you can start marking up milestones :D

I've found that 'milestones' are a lot like 'signposts'. Now, before you say "What's he drinking tonight?", I'll try to explain.
Milestones are important because they tell us how far we've come - so we welcome (and even celebrate) them. Signposts tell us where we are going, but without the milestones we don't know how we are going. Does that make sense? It did to me when I started writing it - now I'm not so sure!
Well done on your milestone. May it also be a signpost, pointing you along the way to even bigger and better things.

Oh I'm only a wannabe nerd - just enough to annoy people without any of the benefits :D
