Apart from being unlucky, he must have fallen pretty hard

Hope he's okay, I don't like the sound of inuries like that in a muscle.

Had a kid do something similar here last year on the BMX track except it was the handle post which went through his thigh.

He misjudged a jump and the bike fell apart around him.

I see kids riding BMXs with no hand grips or bar ends, just bare alloy tubes at the end, all the time.... That's asking for it.

Tough little bugger.

Know what you mean Bnej, the locals here run theirs without brakes  they just drag a foot on the back tyre behind the seat

Kids have an advantage, they're unbreakable unlike us older folk.

Still haven't worked out if it's a mental or physical thing. Are they unbreakable because they have no fear of the consequences or because they're made of rubber.

Ow! Not nice!

I sort of wonder how people my size (180 cm) contort themselves to ride such tiny bikes any distance at all. There's a whole fleet of them at my school, every afternoon they stagger off, no helmets, baseball caps pointing at odd angles... One lad has a trick of riding along the street, then slamming on the backpedal brake to leave a nice fat trail of rubber down the middle of the road. Intelligence.
