Question on fitting carbon handlebars

Postby kilroy » Tue Dec 02, 2008 8:53 am

Hey guys,
I received a new pair of carbon handlebars yesterday and I have loosely fitted my dura ace brifters on them and the bars are attached to the stem. Just wondering how firmly you know how to tighten the brifters to the bar and the bar onto the stem? I don't have any torsion wrenches, and there is no real LBS in town. Should I attempt it without tools, or do I get a torsion wrench to do it?
cheers
shane

Don't play around with CF unless you have a torque wrench, or very experienced.

No worries,
Any recommendations on a wrench that will do the job?
