Clarence St Cyclery 5% - 50% sale

Postby NTC » Fri Dec 05, 2008 2:29 pm

I just thought Id let you all know that Clarence St Cyclery in Sydney is having a 5-50% sale.

Some cheap Nike jerseys.
I just bought a Bontrager Supercharger floor pump for $69 down from $120.

Sale ends Sunday though. Thought I would let you know.

Thanks for the post. But I've lost faith with some of these so called LBS sales.

As an example, what's so good about that Bontrager SuperCharger floor pump? Is it that much better than Topeak's JoeBlow series? Felt sorry for those who paid the $120 regular price.

$64 for this one on eBay,

$40 for this one,

I wasnt saying that Bontrager is a great pump..
Given I needed a decent pump and asking a few people they said that it wasnt too bad I thought 69 bucks was okay.

Just letting people know.

I think the price you paid for the Bontrager pump is closer to fair and certainly wasn't a dig at you. I was just pointing out the ridiculously inflated regular prices in some of these LBSs.

Any other perceived bargains there?

No sweat, I didnt take it that way. I agree and generally stay out of Clarence St, but atleast now the prices are as you say closer to the mark.

They are selling Nike Jerseys for $29, Nick Shorts $49.
The jerseys look okay (I think they are made by Netti). Im not a fan of the nickshorts though. I have 2 pairs of Giordana bib nicks which I think are better.

I think there are some good buys but the other stuff not quite sure.

They are very good quality.

If you're doing a lot of tyres maybe worth it, if you're just doing your own probably not.
