peugeot ventoux '86 '87
Postby Z1 » Mon Dec 22, 2008 10:04 pm
hi i found a frame in a verge through out and i beleive it to be an 1987 or 86 peugeot ventoux. considering its heritage i'm unsure wether to do it up retro style and try and source original or period parts or bring it into the 21st century atm i have replaced the brake levers with some plain tektro's the gearing is original i have put some old weinneman wheels so it is currently ridable. any suggestions??????

as the owner of a few pugs all I can say is .. ride it.
I reckon if you find it as a frame you can pretty much do whatever you want with it. You can make it a single speed or a fixie, you can fix her up into a touring bike and upgrade the gears, leave it as a road bike and run sis exage gear which is what it should have come with.
Choice is yours.
To be honest I think people only really get upset when you take a perfectly good roadie and break it down or ruin it, cut parts off. To be honest if you don't grind anything off it you can restore it to its former glory at any time
good luck and have fun mate
