My new official time is 40m 27s for 20kms which is about what I had on my computer. I was originally told 38m ??s when my computer read 40m ??s.
I was hoping for an average of 30 km/h but 29.8km/h, on a windy day, wasn't too bad considering wind can reduce a time by up to 7% especially into the wind on the way back which is what we had.
This wasn't a graded race so overall I came in 27th out of 32. Sounds bad but looking at the D grade rider's (well the ones I know are D grade) I was about 3rd or 4th out of 8 or 9.
The winner averaged 42km/h and the female national road champ 38km/h.
My daughter won the girls (averaging 30.2 km/h) and came in second overall (boys and girls) missing overall 1st place by 12 seconds.
It's good to have a time I can work at reducing. Can't wait for the next one
