Have you ever noticed on some long rides that it's all uphill? Then when you turn around and come back, the local councill has moved the road so that it is all uphill on the way back too.

Another of those mysteries of the world.

Not only that, but a change has just blown up and the headwind you were battling into has decided that its turn around point on the ride is the same as yours.

This is why in Sydney you should commute towards north east in the morning and return towards south west in the afternoon. So to beat the wind !!!

Have a nice day

I used to ride to school up Magill Road and it wasn't unusual to be fighting a head wind on the way up while observing another cyclist going the other way, ALSO fighting a head wind

Except my story is true. There was one stretch there that had some really weird eddies ... near a Catholic Church it was too

besides, we had to relinquish our hole when the council decided to fill it in. They even took the sheet of cardboard.
