I need to get myself a new jersey and bibshorts or knicks and wondering what people have found to be good quality ones that are very comfortable.
Realise that Assos and Capoforma etc are meant to be the absolute business though their prices are hideously expensive. Are they that good or just brand name? and is there something maybe half as expensive that is also good quality and are comfortable. Have had cheap knicks before though they don't last long and aren't very well made so looking to step upto something better. Opinons?

In my experience online shops are your friend - plenty of good deals to be had and any good online store will have sizing charts for each brand.

Stackhat. Roughly what jersey and knick size do you think you are - xs, s, m, l, xl, xxl....? I've some almost brand new XXL on ebay at the moment (and no.... they're not the cheap, nasty Aldi/ Crane ones either)! PM me for details if interested.....
God save the ABC & SBS.....

Nalini. I think torpedo7 had them pretty cheap, the team ones, a while ago. Might have gone back up in price.
I've also got Nalini bibs (non team) definitely best bibs I've ever worn too.

G'day
I am looking at a Sugoi pair of knicks in the near future. I have a pair of Ground Effects knicks which I feel are good value.
I personally find Nalini knicks (team ones) and shorts are nothing special and for around the same $$$ can get better quality knicks, e.g., Ground Effect.
Regards
Andrew

Another vote for the Netti knicks. My partner and I both love them and would like to have many more pairs. The ones around $70-100 are the ones we have

Get onto Probikekit.com . You will get good quality nalini bibs for around $40 - 70 for the team ones. Some 08 stock left over.

The near future turned out to be Saturday. I got a pair of Sugoi RS bib knicks for $235.00. Very nice indeed.

+1, Don't rate those cheap PBK Nalini bibs very highly, though the higher grade stuff might be OK.
I bought some dhb bibs from Wiggle a while ago which I think are great for the price (about $70 then IIRC)

2XU is high-quality gear. Pricey, though they do have outlets at DFO and you can purchase from Probikekit, Teamcyclist etc online as well.
Cheers...Michael

I've read on other cycling forums that they are see through. Put me off buying them.

I rate Bergamo and Santini bib knicks. Gel chamois is a must in my view.

Where'd you source the Bergamo's from? I thought that Bergamo had changed its name to Capoforma?

I think this is the wrong thread, as it is 4 years old, and about knicks, not bikes.

I looked at the name GT Avalanche hard tail and thought wow I wonder what sort of padding is in those knicks for it to be called a hard tail. To jakalope........mate you may be better to post this question in the Buying a Bike/Parts section. Welcome to the forum by the way. Cheers, Tom

Ground effects. There have been a couple of knicks/jerseys reviewed on the front page of BNA recently. I love all of my ground effects stuff, never had a problem with any of it.
