Knackered

Postby Bnej » Sat Mar 31, 2007 6:41 pm

Took the road bike on the 30km group ride for the 2nd time today. Had fun on a couple of the hill sprints. Got to the end, thought, wow I don't feel tired at all, I need to do some more.

Rode ~17km each way to Lawson, which is about 250m different in altitude, mostly in about 5 big rolling hills.

NOW I feel like I've done something. But I still wish I had my bike computer so I know how fast it was.

Road bikes make it too easy.

Sometimes it is better that you don't know the truth.

Road bikes make it too easy :D Just took my brand new Azzurri Forza for it's first 10km. Sweeeet!!! Easy as compared to the MTB but I won't get too cocky yet.
It back to the MTB tomorrow for a 40km lap :D

59.7km on the hybrid this morning. I've made several new body parts hurt...

I'm planning ahead - they will be new in the future when they wear out and replacements are available.

Anyway - "I encountered discomfort in several body parts which had not previously experienced any exercise-related discomfort."

If that's not clear enough, I'll run it past some of the officious ba$tard$ at work so they can come up with a more exacting description.

The usual - knees (they be stuffed, but normally don't ache), muscles in the hips (couldn't find on your links), upper back/shoulders, neck. And towards the end, the nicks were chafing sensitive body parts...

I've done this sort of distance before, but not without breaks and not with the weather so damned cold (was ~ 10C).
