Well, after several weeks (about 10 or so now of owning a bike) I must say that I am surprised at the fitness level cycling affords!
Due to unprecedented weight gain (4 kilos on a little person is a lot!) I decided that this bike game has left me eating too much and doing too little in return .... so I went for a run today to get back into some 'real' exercise....
But - to my surprise - I ran 10 km in probably better time - or at least comparitive time (5 minute kms) than days of old despite not running for months...
So I might be finally converting to those who say biking is just as good - less the joint pain...
Dunno bout the weight gain though - same diet, same everthing but HEAVVVVYYYY
Surprised at fitness!

Like the others (well, Mulger Bill, anyway) have said - it's more a matter of shape / strength that outright weight loss. How do you think you look - do you look like you're carrying extra body fat?Cluey wrote: ... Due to unprecedented weight gain (4 kilos on a little person is a lot!)
