I was reading the fitness QA on CyclingNews and there was quite a bit on Arch Cleats.
I had never heard of these before, but it looks like they have some good and bad points.
Good point - sustain power for longer making you go faster.
Bad point - not good for a kick in a sprint.
Has anyone heard of these or better yet, used them? What do people think? Will this revolutionise cycling??

Soon we'll have heel cleats. I knew that thong wearing octogenarian cyclist was right in his fit.
Given the fact it has positives and negatives, it's a sure sign it won't revolutionise cycling.

What that does is put the logical pivot point inside the foot itself, instead of being below the foot.
Wonder how the release mechanism works?
Back in the late 70's someone built a pair of shoes for track racing that had the pedals built in, ie the shoes were permanently attached to bike.

I like the idea. The hard part will be to demonstrate the robustness of the product and establish some market share. After looking at the company's web site, I don't think it'll dent the market.
