What sort of bike Dave?
How was it set up? By a competent bike shop? By an incompetent bike shop? You had a fiddle on your own without knowing what you were doing? Bike set can give you a sore back and it's not normally something I'd associate with 'getting used to the brute'. Do you wear a backpack? They can cause sore backs. Richard
It's a road bike. The guy who sized me up seemed pretty thorough (is that how you spell that?), no back pack. The only thing i've done is take of the handle bars to grease up the stem like the lbs advised because it was a bit squeeky.
A good place to start would be Sheldon Brown's wee essay on Cyling and Pain.
You'll note that he blames poor posture for back pain and as such, it could just be a part of getting used to your new bike. Have a look and get back to us if it doesn't help. Richard
I had a read and i sat on my bike like i would normally and I think i may not ne arching me back which is probaly why i've got a bit of pressure on my lumbar.
Time will tell if this is the case though. Thanks for that you may have saved me a chiro bill
Are you carrying a back pack?
