I think that saddle might be tilted back a bit too far...but I like the way he carries his briefcase...very clever.il padrone wrote:Now I've got to admit that is really classy!! Classic retro roadster and truly spiffing outfitting.bigs wrote:

Nope, not for a leather saddle on an upright roadster. I have one on my Shogun Hybrid with 'north road' bars and it is about the same angle - perfectly comfortable over all sorts of roads and bumps.CoffsGal wrote:I think that saddle might be tilted back a bit too far...

+1 from me. Now I want to find a briefcase like that (but not red - I think a nice tan/brown one would suit better) and carry it on my bicycle like that. Crap! I just realised that my Raleigh Twenty doesn't have a top-tube! I'll have to get that roadster.

This man is the epitome of Cycle Chic for the man about town.
The man in the first post, though. Hmm, I would not let my children near a man like that, I suspect that those pants end just above the hem line of that coat and when he opens the coat we are all in for a big surprise.

Go to the link for Spoke + Spool posted by Aushiker, then download their Lookbook. you will find exactly what you need on page 22. The Lookbook is a great laugh too, I am still trying to decide if this is taking the p!$$ or not.hartleymartin wrote:+1 from me. Why the red & white tape?
To keep the journalists at bay ??
Royal Dutch newsblog
Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and his wife Princess Máxima on Friday morning pedalled from their home in Wassenaar, a leafy suburb of The Hague, to the nearby Pavillion De Horsten. Willem-Alexander had his eldest daughters Amalia and Alexia up front, Máxima carried youngest daughter Ariane - the three girls nicknamed the couple's AAA-team -on the back seat of her bicycle.

She looks better in these pics than in real life . The well dressed gent with the briefcase is certainly "chic"...although I feel his shoes are not the correct colour and his scarf could be 5mm out of whack.Aushiker wrote:Too easygreyhoundtom wrote:Tiffany CromwellAushiker wrote:Hi

MOD EDIT Pic removed. Not a suitable image at any time, I'm sure those who've seen it understand why. Yes I'm showing a personal prejudice here, one that's shared by many.

If I recall correctly, none have compulsory helmets for all cyclists in all situationsBeetle wrote:Quite a few pictures show riders without helmets.....which countries in Europe can you ride without one on?
Iceland introduced a helmet law for children under 15 years old in 1999. At the same time powers were granted to extend the law to all ages, although this has not yet been done. Enforcement of the law is lax. Child helmet use following the law is understood to have fallen. Well surprise .
And in Spain helmet compulsion applies to bicycle riders of all ages. However it does not apply: to cyclists riding in towns and cities; during periods of extreme heat; when riding up steep hills; or to professional cyclists
So basically you can ride across the whole of mainland Europe (except Spain) and the UK without needing to don a helmet.

If I were more clear about what it was would that make any difference?
Im dumbfounded....
For the record, I think the only thing ive done wrong is let on that ive watched that show before
Shaun, did you really think for one second that it was a real pic of a woman being strangled?....Fair dinkum...
So the latecomers know what the hell we are on about, the photo I posted was supposed to be a joke. It was a photo of Victor kiriarcus and that doctor woman whos allways possesed or undead/abducted by aliens or whatever. He was strangling her, I thought the well dressed gent with the bike looked a bit like Victor....the end.
If it were 2 men in the photo I bet you wouldnt bat an eyelid, equality .....yeah right.
Anyway, I'll get back in my box and restrain myself from posting anything out of order. I will just join the merry go round of blowing smoke up each others backsides.
