I'm trying to decide which is the least attractive, the bike, the car or the model's hair.

Cycle Chic

Postby yugyug » Wed Feb 25, 2015 8:24 pm

I think it's the general avarice exemplified by car shows that is the least attractive thing in that photo.

Personally I think the bike and the model's hair are both kind of cool. I've seen worse cars too, though that does look like car Batman might choose to drive for a boy's night out on mardi gras.

Being an ex carpenter I must admit the bit of timber dowel as a handle bar does have some appeal. :D

Meh... I think the lady in the photos on the fyxo website looks chic enough in a beachy, summery way.
She has a lovely, healthy, fit looking body unlike some of the skinny models that are held up as 'ideal women's bodies' these days.

That Italian gent is the epitome of cycle chic :D

That is a specially designed document folder for bicycle use. But of course he does live in Milan - close to the heartland of Italian custom leathergoods.

I stumbled across BikeFancy of Chicago as it's got a lower spec Mixte version of a Specialized Globe Live cargo bike I have (was looking for OEM pic for sale ad, not on the Hello Kitty fan club).
I since saw it's been shared on a 2nd hand blog review here with broken image links, so thought I'd plug the archive with the original link, since this bike/pic also made the blog's banner.

The qualifier for this "chic" is it is cycle chic, not just regular fashion chic, that is fine for a cold climate with lots of clothing, e.g. the home of tweed I imagine wouldn't be popular right now as the UK swelters in record summer heat.

Probably also depends on your demographic for being disturbed when you look down from your chic ivory tower ;)
