I did post this in another thread a while back, but it is another take on Chic! Imagine the splinters!

I puzzled about that, it certainly looks like it says Rapha. But... that black lettering is very dense compared to the grayscale of the photo. My bet is that the words have been Photoshopped on and this photo has been pinched from a Rapha catalogue somewhere? Cheers Richard

No she's not in the true spirit of the thread but to not share that one with the guys would have been outside the spirit of brotherhood.

He is cold. He has two jumpers on. I doubt if it would be Jersey, looks more like France to me.
Cheers, George.

The Rapha name comes from deep in the heritage of cycle sport. Rapha was a junior cycle racing team in the 1960s, designed to prepare young cyclists for a career in the professional team sponsored by the St. Raphael drink brand
Maybe "Rapha" (original) or more likely Raphael (even st. Raphael), as the Tops were around, as Raphael Geminiani was involved with the junior team, leading up to the St. Raphael professional team.

Well, you learn something every day! I never knew the name 'Rapha' was used by a team before the trendy clothing company. I though they had just made a diminutive of the Raphael or St Raphael team names to sound 'right' for the marketeers I had thought of a Raphael or St Raphael jersey but the spacing isn't right across the jersey to fit the full word(s) in. Cheers Richard
