Hi Andrew,
I'm in for 7000 km (I could probably do 10000 but thinking of cutting back)

I joined up just now with the same user name - although how do you get the stupid site to display things in kilometres?
I'm not sure I can be stuffed changing everything to miles before logging it.
So we get the leaders we deserve and we elect, we get the companies and the products that we ask for, right? And we have to ask for different things. – Paul Gilding but really, that's rubbish. We get none of it because the choices are illusory.

I've signed up on the site and have entered in some December numbers just to try out the site. I just hope that I won't get lazy in entering in the logs. I wish the site would allow importing directly from the Garmin Edge.
As for target - no idea yet. How about just be in the top 50 for this forum.

I'm in for next year.
Will hit the 2,000km mark tomorrow morning after 4 months riding so will aim for 7,000 in 2010.
Cheers

Got nowhere near my target this year Will try for 5000km next year as well, and will hopefully not slacken off as winter approaches this time around. Cheers, Simon.

Hi
Rider123, alex_sniga, Baldy, Fletch, sblack, drubie, GrumpySmurf, and ryan thanks for letting me know here. All duly noted.
There are couple of people whose BJ user names I didn't recognise so their Club memberships have been flicked for now. If it was you, please let me know your user name here, so I don't do it again.
Thanks Andrew

Hi Baldy Goto riders -> edit my profile and scroll down the bottom. You can enter your target there. It will only take your 2009 target at present. Regards Andrew

Count me in mate.
No idea how many km I'll do this year.
I'll try to set a target in the next few weeks.
Missed this years target by 2,000 km due to injury, home-life, and work.
Why does life get in the way of having fun?
Kev.

Hi Well if you read the email you where sent or the Club information on BikeJournal before you joined you will know that you where meant to flag your membership either in this thread or the other one. I can't know everyone and I really don't have the time to go checking every membership name, hence you are asked to help out too. It wasn't that hard to post here was it? Now you have posted here I know who you are so when you sign up for the Club I will not remove you again. Cheers Andrew

I'm in for another year, with Target of 8k.
Oooo should be an interesting year with 2008 Champion CaveBear focussing on quality (i.e. hills) rather than quantity (i.e. kms) and likely 2009 Champ MartinJS dropping his target significantly from his current levels.
Note CaveBear's warning: Medical authorities warn that Bike Journal (km yearning) can lead to obsessive compulsive disorder, less than optimal training programs, repetitive strain injury and possible acute family life imbalance. I agree especially when I was looking how I could lift from 200km per week to 400km. No easy options here ,it really is 'fit "conditioned" gits' who sit in the top spots.

Thanks Taz and Andrew, so many options huh!! Ive never been great with paperwork/spreadsheets ect ect
I might wait 'till the new year to start recording rides, hoping to get out at the weekend so might use that as a test run to see how it works.
cheers Baldy
