I read something this year that has really stuck in my mind. Everytime I think of faltering and choosing not to ride, I say "Make an effort, not an excuse" to myself. It has become a bit of a personal mantra. I am determined to reach my cycling goals this year, and every single effort I make contributes to getting me there.foo on patrol wrote:I am there trying aswell, but the weather and early starts have knocked me around, on my quest. But there is still time.
Not saying you are not making an effort, just sharing something that has worked surprisingly well for me.

I agree with what you are saying there! But I am restricted with when I can ride, as in times. I start normally at 5.45 am, so I get up at 4am to squeeze a half hour ride in, but if I start earlier then I don't have time. I am not allowed to ride in the afternoon, because of sleep problems!ve safari wrote:I read something this year that has really stuck in my mind. Seeing as I am not young, and racing at the moment, I am not going to go out in the wet, on my bike.

I'm a 6k'er as well. A mediocre one, but still a 6k'er...
Here's my green line to prove it!

What's the story with Hobart's northern suburbs? Bogan-ville?
