Well, considering I live there, YES. Of course if you listen to some people on here the whole state is the same, a pathetic little backwater full of losers I hope they keep it up because its their diatribes that keep their kind out of the place, which is fine with me Now back to a more serious subject.....the 6k club!!! Didnt you see my gauntlet Norby ........I ownz jooz haha.....winter is coming....must not hibernate....must not hibernate.....

I felt something land near my feet, but I couldn't look down, to busy trying to figure out a way to climb the 6k Club leader board. Barto is a bloody moving target! Note the updated leaderboard oh great Bald one.

And there it is....while you're holed up sitting on the turbo trainer, scared of black ice and frostbite, I'll be pedalling away, putting distance between your too-hard-too-soon miles, and my genuine and consistent efforts. Watch me majesticly sweep into the lead sometime around July! (I'm ignoring the fact that R12 is also ahead of me here!)

I recommend that you stay on your flat-bar for as long as possible.

I forgot to make mention of it earlier, but flat bar riders get a +3000k handicap. Go Flatties go! I am hoping I am the only flatty rider in the group.

Nice try, but your decision to ride a flatty was yours and yours alone. Can I suggest you get some nice knobby tyres as well? They are highly puncture resistant, and as such you will not have to worry about any down-time repairing flats. Just saying...

reasonably new around here, been using the tour de work site to log my trips, since mid October last year till now have clocked 3,587, about to change jobs and will have a shorter trip by a few kms but should be able to make the 6k club and of course get bonues points for being on a flat bar roadie

So sorry smeggy. Your 3567 kms must be reset to 0 when joining bikejournal. No point joinging up now when you think about it, what with having to START FROM SCRATCH. Shame about that. Would have been good to have another 6K'er.

Can I put forward a motion that any kms ridden on Giant or Trek bikes are null and void, and cannot contribute to ones total? Just a thought.

Cannondales and Aeros need to be added to the list. Bonus kms for Merida riders though.

Join in for sure. You will need to get one of the little green lines so I can add you. The more the merrier!
