If anyone is interested in Contours, there is a Queensland seller IIRC selling Contour 3 (the latest model?) for $189 or $199 depending on the listing on eBay.

Given they were out of stock three hours ago and are again out of stock, I would be interested to learn what "stock is limited" really means?

Hi just wondering how you mount your Mobius on the rear? Do you run an external battery as well?

Can't comment on three hours ago, when I saw it the stock was available but was informed that didn't have a lot of stock and when they started the sale, the hot items were starting to clear within minutes. Sorry if you missed out on this.

See the post by Bunged Knee above at 1:13pm. The Fly6 was out of stock then. I didn't miss out but a friend that was looking to buy one did. It just appears odd that someone bought one earlier today then they were out of stock at 1:13pm and then back in stock after you mentioned the sale.

Can anyone point me in the direction of some software that will put my front (mobius) and rear (fly6) camera footage together side by side? Is there a way of then putting garmin GPS data over the top?

Cheers harry

Possible that as the sale had just started, and stock was being added.
Or perhaps I simply didn't notice that it was "out of stock", that is also likely as I was not viewing with the intent to purchase.

I use Adobe Premiere pro + Dashware (http://www.dashware.net/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but I'm sure there are other video editing options out there.

With dashware you can really customise the data layouts depending on what you have and what you want shown.

At $149 the Garmin VIRB is a steal

https://m.catchoftheday.com.au/event/fi ... /?e=sports" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I picked up a Virb Elite the other day (which the finance minister and spawn have colluded on and locked away until Fathers day). Rebel sport are clearing them out, circa $250. Worth the extra hunj IMHO.

2 q's:

1 - Whats everyones preferred bike mount? Virb specific isnt essential, can be a gopro one. Looking at this stage at the ones that mount my Edge 500 on top and the virb below that.

2 - Anyone had experience with time lapse on the virb? How much longer does the battery last than the 2.5-3 hours you get recording 1080p video?

Standard K-Edge GoPro mounts front & rear for me. The camera comes with the GoPro adapter. Don't bother with the standard VIRB screw mount on the bike.

I've done 1080p time lapse and battery lasts much longer, but I have never run it that in that mode. You can run the camera plugged into power if you want to run a time lapse over days/weeks.

Here's a quick time lapse I did for work

Last time I saw coke and darude go together, it certainly wasnt in a supermarket

Thanks for that, I reckon k-edge is the go. Time lapse solution needs to be on the move, it will be for around the bay (cant be arsed buying/carrying enough batteries to do video all day). Last time I did the 210km course it was about 12 hours elapsed and 8 hours riding, will probably take longer than that this year though

I did the video above at a sampling rate of 2 seconds per shot. It creates the video on the fly so when you stop recording, the video is already finished. 2 second sampling (AT) 30fps reduces 1 hour of real time down to 1 minute of time lapse. I don't know if the battery will stretch that long, but if you had a spare you could change it on the ferry if needed.

16 months since your post, I don't remember subscribing but got an email notice of pre-order at BestBuy for USA residents. This link shows some Kodak 360 GoPro type cased product as well for much less, never heard/seen that one. Anyone with one helmet mounted would have to be designated middle rider in a group to get all the action.

Have you come across the difference between Roam2 and Roam3? Looks like the same specs from 2 to 3, is it just rebooted new manufacture after the ownership delays?
