Speedplay Frog Pedals

Postby shaneo92 » Tue Jul 26, 2011 1:32 pm

Hi All,

I am considering buying the Speedplay Frog pedals for my mountain bike, I use Speedplay Zero on the roadie, and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these offroad? Im not talking open fire roads but more "serious" style terrain with rocks and other obstacles that could potentially damage the pedal if they come into contact with it. I currently use Shimano pedals which have had a fair bit of use and have had a few big hits on occasion when going up hill over rocks etc, but they still work.

Looking at the Speedplays I am a little concerned that they might not be as "tough" as the Shimano pedals I currently have but really want the extra "free float" they offer.

Cheers

my crank bros eggbeaters have a lot more float than the spd's. might be worth investigating.
ive never seen anyone with the frog pedals - they look weird.
