It would be awesome to see this distance graphic include elevation. Again, a simple read from the Strava profile.

Strava has a few of those type of challenges, doesn't it. Maybe instead of just defining a single target I should make it so you can specify as many targets as you want with a bit more control over it. So you would specify start and end date as well as the target type (distance, climb, hours) and the amount.
Or would you just want the climb total added to the sig image for bragging rights?

Geez, make me think nowMarshious wrote:Or would you just want the climb total added to the sig image for bragging rights?
I reckon just the bragging rights would be enough (especially around Hobart). Anyone who's in a challenge would be checking the leader boards, I reckon.

If you don't want the extra info displayed the bbcode for the old sig is on the site.
I'm still fetching the data, so if you don't have it yet it should be there soon.

you can add a ride to strava manually too ya know. Don't think it'll count towards challenges and stuff, but should probably work for the prog bar.sli123 wrote: At least with BJournal I can log the exact distance and time in just a few moments.
yeah it's gonna hurt. I've been meaning to try and set a good time up the local hill... so maybe this will give my training a little motivation bump.Giant Pete wrote:I've signed up for the Specialized Hill Climbing Challenge on Strava. 32,099m in 47 days can be done, of course

Do you race?... for me that certainly keeps the k's down, just can't recover from two hours hard as quick as I used too ...that and winter makes doing big milage a bit hard!.TimW wrote:I don't take it for granted either mate, very lucky to be able to do it, and enjoy it.toolonglegs wrote:Like to be able to handle the k's you do Tim!... think I would have issues doing 500km a week consistently!.

No I don't race, only been riding 2 years, and riding is really important to me. I would imagine i would have to sacrifice many k's if i were to race, or change strategy/training. For now i'm just happy cruising on my daily ride, smelling the roses, and meeting up with people to ride with every now and then. Can't get enough of ittoolonglegs wrote:Do you race?... for me that certainly keeps the k's down, just can't recover from two hours hard as quick as I used too ...that and winter makes doing big milage a bit hard!.TimW wrote:I don't take it for granted either mate, very lucky to be able to do it, and enjoy it.toolonglegs wrote:Like to be able to handle the k's you do Tim!... think I would have issues doing 500km a week consistently!.
