That they have been saying the same thing now for 4 years and no one has even seen a working prototype yet... more funny as that after all the set backs people are still paying deposits for vapourware!.
I am sure that it will come out one day .

Well given this is an announcement to the financial markets and given the application of US corporate law and that I suspect Garmin executives are not that keen on a SEC investigation more so given the announcements about the impact on earnings and the likes of HTA actually taken deposits on stock they expect to get I reckon it will be out as announced ...toolonglegs wrote:That they have been saying the same thing now for 4 years and no one has even seen a working prototype yet... more funny as that after all the set backs people are still paying deposits for vapourware!.

I guess I have more respect for Rob at HTA ... somehow I don't think he would want to be damaging his reputation and his business reputation taking deposits on vapourware.
Of course all that could be wrong and ...

They have made the same announcement half a dozen times, no one has yet to see a working prototype being tested , suppliers have been taking deposits for over two years.... etc etc. No one will believe a word they say till we actually see a near finished version being used.

I can only find one 10k filing where the Vector gets mentioned and that was the 2011 announcing the product but not dates or earnings predictions where made. I would be interested in seeing the 2012 10-K filings or other SEC filings that you are referring to that have made statements about the Vector. These are filings with the SEC, not marketing press releases and hence are formal statements about future earnings etc.toolonglegs wrote:They have made the same announcement half a dozen times, no one has yet to see a working prototype being tested , suppliers have been taking deposits for over two years.... etc etc. No one will believe a word they say till we actually see a near finished version being used.
I will do some more research in Edgar tomorrow if I get a chance but but if you have specifics that would be interesting .

I am only talking press releases etc... Not really that interested in the nitty gritty.
