It's replica of some bike that used to be around in the 1890s - according to the piece on the NAHMB Show I read a little earlier.

On the positive side, I reckon it's about time the rear brake on that thing made a comeback... Kids these days are wearing out too many sneakers on the rear wheel

The ultimate hipster fixie:

- No brakes : Check
- Track handlebars with leather(like) bar tape : Check
- Deep section alloy rims : Check
- Strange coloured chain : Check
- Flat pedals with toe clips : Check

Perhaps the only thing that could make it even more terrible would be aerospoke wheels.

James Huang appears to like it ""Cherubim brought this amazing track bike to this year's NAHBS." aka the North American Handmade Blah-Blah-Blah.

Calling it a "track bike" explains the fixed gears & no brakes. Whether it is effective or legal to ride in any event is entirely a different question

Notice though how all the pics have the wheel pointing directly ahead,

because turning the bars even slightly will upset the "perfectly uninterrupted arc" of the top tube and stem. Oh & you better make sure they measure you twice, cause there is no adjustment in the seat height.
