Those type of wheels actually work but the giant hub (so called hubless) has weight, bearing drag and bearing seal problems from what I've read.

Tyre replacement? No quick release? Gonna be hard to put a speedo on that thing too... or fenders! Still - i'd ride one for sure for coolness factor alone. It'd raise the profile of cycling ten trillion fold! See a guy riding one of these every now & then:

Wow! that really is something. It is really cool, not ugly If would be ugly it was only an halfa effort to get a square "tube" look, and was painted. Oh dear, do we need a cool wall

I first thought the curved tubes were going to be the bike. Had to look twice.

That square tubing bike is absolutely fantastic. I think what makes it look good are the seamless joins.

shame the owner has lights that are out of character with the bike. also thought a square shaped bell would be interesting on it, seamlessly attached of course.

I really liked that square tubed alu bike posted by melb-ourne... until I saw the seat. How can anything match the smooth, modern minimalist look less than that seat???
Livetoride's twisted bike is plain cool! I wonder what it's done for the structural integrity though.
Cheers, Dave
