Well don't expect to go drafting me on 'this one' mentioned above. That is unless your resuscitation training is up to date. You'll grow horns you know.

I am a new member and would like to be part of this quest. Have been riding pretty solidly for the last 4 months and have recently bought a new Pinarello FP3 :D

Did another 20KM this morning [in a pretty nasty headwind most of the way] to bring my tally for the year up to ~80KM.

Remember ... slow and steady wins the race (or at least that's what I'm hoping anyway :P ) ...
Every little bit gets you closer to your goal. I even included the 2.2K’s to the park and back with my son. At 10 minutes it was no sprint but it keeps the telly ticking over.

Another 30ish km last night.

Nothing too exciting except a car pulling out on me during the last interval which got the heart rate up a bit.

Ticked over 100 KM for the year so far with this mornings little ride.

Makes me a little bit sad that people like Norbs et al go off and do that in a single day though! :P ;)

Hey, don't worry, 2.5 years ago I was doing 7km rides and thinking I was a hero.

You'll get there. The 6k club will just make it happen faster.

I am thinking I might give this a go tomorrow.

Having a rest today. Got some glass in my toe at the beach and it is a bit sore today.

Ooh, can I join in the fun. I'm hoping to go 6006 after a very frustrating year on, but mostly off, the bike last year.

cheers

Fear not norbs ... I'm already hatching a devious scheme for my first 100 KM ride!

Probably still a little while off yet, but the wheels are in motion none the less. ;)

Down mate, up the back. The sneaky and less painful way. :)

How do i sign up? it looks like i need to sign up for the journal ??? so i'll do that next, did i read that i need 10 posts up (this will only be number 3).

I'll aim for 6000km (and hope to smash it :)) but i know having a target to aim for will keep me out on the bike more often, especially as the weather starts to get a little less inviting...

I'll try not to fall off this year :)

cheers

Got bored this afternoon so went and knocked over another 30K. Puts my tally for the year at 130 KM, and gives me a little bit of a buffer in case I miss a day or two riding! ;)

I have to be home by 1:30 Lewy. :(

I am going out early with DaveOz. Will see how it goes. He is a light weight compared to me, so he might spend a bit of time waiting around. :)

2 rides to kick my first year off of being on this awesome thread!
Tuesday was a 96km Noojee - Baw Baw return. It hurt. A lot. But was very satisfying (even though i had to walk the bike for 2-3km - does that still count??)
Today was my first ever commute to work, about 24km round trip on my old Giant MTB.
I am loving the green bar & red triangle, and hope it helps me thru my first full year on a bike!
120km total should show up in the morning after the midnight update.
