Good onya!oldnewby wrote:I didn't do my usual 80-100km ride on the Avanti thru the Dandenongs this weekend... instead, a 51km return trip from Berwick to the beach at Edithvale. Very exciting for both of us, but mostly me We had a great day, even though it got a little warm and windy towards the end.

LOL ... as much as I'd like to claim some sort of super human effort, ALL the credit there has to be given to the tail wind. I can't maintain anywhere near those speeds without the wind at my back .norbs wrote:

My previous fastest speeds on that segment were 37.5 km/h, 34.9 km/h & 30.2 km/h.

thanks bosvit & Apple she's a bit sore today, but she enjoyed it! I got her bike back in December, in the hope that she'd ride with me every now and then. I was repeatedly asking her to join me, which she did 3 times over 3 months, for short rides, with varying degrees of success. Then I stopped asking, and lo & behold, she asked me this weekend! Rapt we did 51km, and I'll be waiting with bated breath for her to ask again over the next few weeksApple wrote:Good onya!Hope you keep the enthusiasm up! Mate, if you keep hitting her with 50k rides with not much between you are a braver man than I and I've been married 37 years.oldnewby wrote:she's a bit sore today, but she enjoyed it! I'm actually shaping up a bit short this month. I'm sitting on 841K for the month right now, and my normal commuting will bring me up to 941K by months end.Mugglechops wrote:

So, I basically need to find an extra 60K's somewhere over the next two days in order to hit the big 1,000.
